Treating Perimenopause

Managing perimenopause is possible and very achievable with the right advice and treatments. At Platinum Beauty, we strongly believe in a holistic approach to treating perimenopause in women, including sophisticated and effective treatments that are exclusively designed to meet your individual goals.

We believe in the significant benefits of incorporating naturopathic services into each client's treatment plan. By doing so, we not only help achieve long-term results but also empower our clients with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health.

What is perimenopause?

Perimenopause, as the name suggests, is the lead-up to menopause and occurs around the time that your ovaries gradually stop working. It’s an unavoidable part of ageing and a menopausal transition that can occur as early as in your 30s.

However, it is not something you have to suffer through with the uncomfortable symptoms, both physical and emotional.

During this time, the level of oestrogen (the main female hormone) starts to fluctuate, increasing and decreasing, causing your menstrual cycles to either lengthen or shorten. What can come with this? Rapid weight gain.

Perimenopause has many symptoms, but the one that can cause the most mental discomfort is weight gain. We saw a need in our clients for effective, unique, and accessible treatments to help with their perimenopause symptoms, including unexpected weight gain.

Perimenopause treatments

A large portion of our clients struggle with sudden weight gain during perimenopause, which impacts their confidence and mental health immensely. Self-esteem is crucial because it shapes how we perceive ourselves, influences our relationships, and determines how confidently we face challenges in life.

A decrease in oestrogen levels (a key part of perimenopause) is closely associated with weight gain, as oestrogen plays a key role in regulating metabolism and body weight. When oestrogen levels drop, the body becomes less efficient at burning calories, leading to increased fat storage, particularly around the abdomen.

Our range of fat-reducing, skin-tightening, and sculpting treatments allows for faster and more visible results. These options work perfectly for individuals who are time-poor or frustrated with other approaches that haven’t worked.

Clinical treatments

LASER LIPO

Laser Lipo is a non-invasive treatment that uses focused heat to melt and shrink fat cells, targeting stubborn areas. The liquefied fat is naturally eliminated through the body's lymphatic system, helping to reduce volume and contour the body – find out more.

EMS MUSCLE STIMULATION

EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) uses targeted electrical impulses to stimulate muscles, promoting muscle contraction, toning, and strength. By engaging muscles in a controlled way, it helps boost metabolism, accelerate fat burning, and improve overall muscle endurance and shape – find out more.

Naturopathy

The inclusion of naturopathy in your journey is crucial to tackling weight gain from all angles. Our Clinical Naturopath, Rebecca, will guide you step by step and conduct a thorough initial consultation to determine which plan is suitable for you.

“Having Naturopathy at Platinum means we can investigate our client’s hormones, microbiome, gut health, or organs to identify areas for internal improvement. For instance, some clients struggle with weight due to perimenopause, menopause, or even dysbiosis caused by Klebsiella bacteria in their gut, leading to fatty liver. Once we identify a cause, we can treat it alongside the external treatments Platinum offers, yielding outstanding results.” - Rebecca
