This collaboration ensures that every aspect of your journey is addressed, promoting not just aesthetic transformation but overall health and vitality.

Dive into our interview with Rebecca to learn more about her expertise and how she can support you on your body transformation journey, using naturopathy as a holistic approach to achieving lasting results.

What does your role at Platinum Beauty entail?

“My role involves doing body and skin treatments, alongside my position as the in-house Naturopath. I find working on both sides helpful in getting to know the clients better and providing an all-around holistic approach.”

Where did your journey into Naturopathy begin?

“I have a Bachelor of Communications which saw me go on to study at Endeavour College, pursuing a Bachelor of Health Science. I later transferred to Nature Care College to study Clinical Naturopathy and Integrative Health for a better study/life balance. I found the content to be similar but appreciated the more hands-on, personal approach and I completed double the clinic hours than I would have the Bachelor.

I have also continued my education with Health Masters and MinDD, completing Herbal Mastery Mentorships and Aromatherapy Consulting.

I was drawn to natural medicine due to my own health issues surrounding my gut, hormones, and reproductive system. Once I experienced how much Naturopathy changed my life compared to my treatment in the conventional medical system, I wanted to help others in the same way.”

You have a passion for helping women with a more holistic approach to body transformation; we love this! Tell us what this means to you.

“Absolutely! My passion for a holistic approach to helping women comes from the understanding that wellness is multi-dimensional. It’s not just about physical health but encompasses all body systems as well as emotional, mental, and social well-being. I believe that when women feel supported in all these areas, they can truly thrive.”

How does naturopathy work with in-clinic treatments to achieve body goals for clients?

“Having Naturopathy at Platinum means we can offer clients support from the inside to radiate on the outside and enhance their results with body and skin treatments. We can investigate their hormones, microbiome, gut health, or organs to identify areas for internal improvement.

For instance, some clients struggle with weight due to perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, insulin or leptin resistance, thyroid dysfunction, or even dysbiosis caused by Klebsiella bacteria in their gut, leading to fatty liver. Once we identify a cause, we can treat it alongside the external treatments Platinum offers, yielding outstanding results.

I also work with clients experiencing skin complaints such as acne, who already see remarkable improvements with facial treatments. I investigate the underlying causes of their acne, which can include PCOS, estrogen or androgen dominance, and insulin resistance."

Are there any at-home tips you can give our clients that will boost their weight loss journey?

“Diet is always a good start; the Mediterranean diet is a great all-rounder that addresses a long list of health conditions. Weight training and low-intensity exercise are also beneficial.

However, weight gain sometimes cannot be shifted through diet and exercise alone. It may be hormonal, related to thyroid issues or the microbiome, or even genetic conditions like lymphedema and lipedema. I believe getting a diagnosis is the best route to treating the underlying cause of weight gain, which we can facilitate at Platinum. It’s a one-stop shop clinic.”

How can clients work with you at Platinum Beauty?

“Clients can book online through Fresha or call the clinic directly. If they have any queries, they can email me at rebecca@platinumbeautycoffscoast.com.

Working with me involves an initial consult where I ask comprehensive questions about medical history and all body systems. We cover sleep, diet, supplements, pharmaceuticals, bowel health, gut health, mental health, skin issues, family history, and any testing done in the previous six months. I offer different testing options that clients might not receive through their GP, allowing us to identify issues they may overlook.

After this, I will order the necessary testing and recommend supplements accordingly. Clients then return for shorter follow-up appointments to address any questions and help keep them on track in their health journey.”
